The three working tools at the heart of ISO/IEC 42001: where you stand, your AI risks, and the impact of your AI on people. Bought separately these cost $157; the bundle is $129, a saving of $28.
What you get
- ISO 42001 Gap Assessment & Statement of Applicability Workbook (Excel, $59 on its own): 86 clause requirement lines, all 38 Annex A controls, a self-building action plan and a dashboard.
- AI System Inventory & AI Risk Register (Excel, $49 on its own): a 26-field AI inventory, 5 x 5 AI risk criteria, a risk register with Annex A links, a 38-risk library, heat maps and a dashboard.
- AI System Impact Assessment Template (Word and Excel, $49 on its own): a 15-section template with two worked examples, plus a 20-question screener, screening matrix, assessment log and dashboard.
- Bundle Start Here guide (PDF): how the three workbooks feed each other and a 3-week plan. Each product keeps its own Start Here guide.
Your first 3 weeks
- Week 1, where are we? First pass of the gap assessment, AI inventory filled, risk criteria agreed with top management, every system screened for impact assessment.
- Week 2, what could go wrong, and for whom? Risk workshops per system using the risk library; light and full impact assessments started; significant impacts added to the risk register.
- Week 3, which controls, and what next? Treatments linked to Annex A controls, the Statement of Applicability completed with justifications, the action plan reviewed with leadership, and High residual risks accepted or treated.
The plan suits a small or mid-sized organization with a handful of AI systems and a lead who can give it a few hours a day. Larger scopes take longer; the order stays the same.
Who it is for
Organizations starting ISO/IEC 42001 that want the analytical core first, and teams that already have policies but need the risk, impact and Statement of Applicability work that auditors spend most time on. Add the AI policy, manual, procedures, audit and training documents later with the full toolkit.
Good to know
- Instant download. Editable Excel (.xlsx) and Word (.docx), plus PDF guides. Works in Excel 2016 or later, Microsoft 365 and LibreOffice; no macros.
- Licensed for use within one organization.
- Requirements and controls are summarized in our own words and referenced by number; the templates do not reproduce ISO/IEC 42001. You need your own licensed copy of the standard.
- These templates help you prepare. They do not guarantee certification; your certification body decides based on how your AI management system works in practice.
- 5-day fit guarantee: if it does not fit your system, contact us within 5 days of purchase.

What every download includes
Templates refer to ISO/IEC 42001:2023 clause and Annex A control numbers and describe requirements in our own words. They do not reproduce the text of the standard, so you need your own licensed copy. Templates support your AI management system; they do not guarantee certification.
Questions about ISO 42001 Starter Bundle (Gap + SoA, Risk Register, Impact Assessment)
Why these three products together?
They are the analytical core of ISO/IEC 42001 and they feed each other. The inventory and risk register drive which Annex A controls you include in the Statement of Applicability, and impact assessments feed significant impacts into the risk register. Doing them together keeps owners, dates and control decisions consistent.
What is not included in the Starter Bundle?
The AI Policy and Acceptable Use Policy pack, the AIMS manual and registers, the nine procedures, internal audit and management review templates, awareness training and the 90-day roadmap. Those are in the AIMS Implementation Toolkit, which also contains everything in this bundle.
Can we realistically finish in three weeks?
The 3-week plan is written for a small or mid-sized organization with a handful of AI systems and a lead who can give it a few hours a day. You will have a first complete pass: gap assessment, inventory, risk register, impact screenings and a justified Statement of Applicability. Larger scopes take longer.
Can I upgrade to the full toolkit later?
The toolkit is sold as a separate product at its own price, and we cannot promise an upgrade discount. If you expect to build the full AI management system, including policies, procedures, internal audit and training, compare the two before you buy; the toolkit already contains all three bundle products.
How will I receive the files?
A download button appears on the order confirmation page and the same link is emailed to you within a few minutes. Bundles arrive as one ZIP file.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. With our 5-day fit guarantee, if the files do not fit your AI management system you can ask for a full refund within 5 days of your order. It applies once per customer and organization, covers the whole product, and requires you to confirm you have deleted the files. We also refund non-delivery, defective files, wrong items and duplicate purchases within 30 days. Read the full refund policy.
Can I see the files before I buy?
Yes. The images above show real pages from the files, and the free ISO 42001 readiness checklist lets you check where you stand before you buy.
Can I use the templates with more than one company?
Each purchase is licensed to one organization. Consultants and groups need one licence per client or legal entity. See the licence agreement.
