No. The requirement was removed in the 2015 edition and has not returned. Many companies keep one because customers request it and because it explains the system in one place.

How long should a quality manual be?

For a small or mid-sized company, 20 to 30 pages is typical. Longer manuals tend to repeat procedures and go out of date.

Can I use this to update an existing 2015 manual?

Yes. The changed sections are marked, so you can lift the 2026 wording into your current manual instead of starting again.
